Default Tacho/speedo problem

Hi people,
last week i had a problem on my bike.
I was in the Czech Republic, Prague direction for a short holiday when suddenly speedo and tacho died.
At that time i was in the middle of traffic, it was very hot and i went on very slowly. With the speedo and tacho all the light indicator do not work except battery, engine and alarm (key) indicator. Also the remain autonomy fuel on display had disappeared.
After 2 kilometers, away from the traffic i turned off the bike. After a few seconds i turned on and everything worked again!
In your opinion what could have happened?
Thank you very much to all and those who can help me.

Giuseppe

U1016 Loss of ICM/ECM Serial Data Instruments
U1016 Loss of ECM Serial Data, Vehicle Speed, Vehicle Inhibit Motion, or Powertrain Security Status TSM/TSSM

What does this mean?

My first thought is that you have a connector in the wiring to the instrument that is connecting marginally versus well. You might try disconnecting the relevant connector(s), cleaning them with alcohol on a swab to remove corrosion and grime, coating the joint with a bit of dielectric grease (don't go crazy with amount of the dielectric grease - just enough to make a coating layer for the pins), and then reconnect. If you just a sensible amount of dielectric grease, the pins will penetrate through it to make good conenctions, but their exteriors will be coated against moisture penetration.

Dirty speed sensor in transmission. Clean or replace it as it will be covered with metal filings'
