Set gap at .018. If the difference between the gaps on both lobes exceeds .004, then reset the gap to halfway between the difference, with .018 being your base measurement (middle of the difference).......pg
Always hated how the pionts cam lobes are so far off. Come on !! Every other manufacturer could get theregrinds spot on. At least pionts are forgiving if you off a little.

That is what makes the ironhead so attractive to me. How would you view an ironhead if it was as precise as say.....a Honda 750 four? I don't think you would appreciate the machine as much, and it would be much more difficult to work on it yourself.........pg
i have to agree with pg i bought a old harley becuse i can work on it. its forgiving not so nats on that im screwing my self by over torcing 1 nut sides my cars are old too so all my wrenches fit
