That should keep you out of mischief for awhile indeed. Good luck with the build

Well you can start with those really nicely painted red wheels and work your way up!?!?!?

Good luck, my first was a '79, one year only for a lot of parts to make it a little but more fun.

If that is all of the parts that you have then you are missing all of the internal engine parts, and much more. I do hope you have more If not my suggestion is to buy another 1979 and keep this one for spare parts.

all the internals are in the basket. Engine wise it will be complete minus purchasing new hardware and a couple other odds and ends. We otherwise if nothing else got a pretty good jump start. I picked up a bead blaster yesterday and will have a better look once everything is cleaned and layed out

FINALLY

Somebody uses the word "build" correctly and doesn't mean he's installing ape hangers, seat and a derby cover.

LOL!!! I've noticed for some people (at my employment) they remove four screws and next thing you know they are telling everyone they are a full blown mechanic. I've wrenched on my own bike and have done all of my mods, that doesn't make me a bike mechanic. This basket case however might make me one when we finish it.
