Hello everybody, just wanted to introduce myself. I know there is an intro forum but my bike is an Ironhead so I figure I'll be spending most of my time here. I'm 23 years old, currently in the Navy stationed in San Diego, CA. I'm getting out of the military in less than 3 months and will be moving to Tempe, AZ to start college full time at Arizona State University. Now to the important stuff! I just bought my first bike, a 1976 Ironhead Sportster XLCH (vin 4A24660H6). I have very little experience with motorcycles, however, I am very mechanically inclined, so i'm excited. I got this bike for $3000 and am in the process of getting it shipped to me from Tampa, FL. I'm looking forward to learning all that I can from you guys.

Hey, how's it going? Nice bike. You came to the right place for info. HDF is one of the best sites I've ever found for Ironhead info and all kinds of tech tips, etc. Good luck.

 

SunDevil, Nice looking ride. I would fabricate some sort of chain guard for that bike. I had one whistle past my ear at about 50 mph once. Not a good feeling.
