i have spoke rims.i am just unsure of the best way to add front brakes.the bike already has hand controls i am just wondering the best way/any way to add a rotor or do i need to find another rim to be able to have front brakes?--thanks in advance.
If it is just a spool rim, yes. The rim will have to have a flange on it to mount the rotor to.
Also your forks will need some sort of attachment point as well, going to depend on what
type of caliper/ brake set up you use.
Also make sure you have clearance between the forks to add a caliper/axle bracket, I have seen
very narrow front ends that didnt have the clearance to add a bracket.
