Take the advance unit out, Looks like it is Past service interval anyway.. If still too far into Cam...it may be of Benefit to remove Cam..and dig it out...or..replace Cam!!!
Who in the wide world of sports put a Mechanical Advance in a 1990 Evo?? What Ignition???? Mat look into changing that also..Unless it may be a Dyna-S which I like alot...But...Not if one Ignores the Mechanical Advance Mechanism..
