Actually, i think that is just the module itself. I am uncertain about the coils and the wires. You could measure bthe resistances of your coil and check to see if it matches what is required. Or ask someone else who actually knows. Something about "primary resistance", higher vs lower ohm readings.
There are different types of plug wires. Whatever you have will probably be good but it is another thing to check out first.
ive got somewhat of the same problem....i just have to clean my points all the time.i also have a vapor lock problem so that may be a big part of my problem now i dunno.i ran for awhile with a hot coil that was made for elect. ig.----i beleive it was...40,000 volts??? i want to say the stock coils for points are around 20,000 but i am not sure about that.i dont remember ever having a miss but my points did get pitted and also my condensor went bad...but i dont know if the diff. coil caused it.i did get a hotter spark at the plug though.i might go back to it.i dunno.the reason why i went back to the stock coil was because after changing points i wasnt getting fire at all....banged my head as well ...the problem was not the coil but it was shorting out on the inside of the "points plate" because i routed the wire to the condensor wire upside down/rightside up/different.corrected that it started.there is such a close tolerance there that i put a strip of electrical tape on the inside...for kicks.
you might want to remove the plate and see how it runs...you never know.you may have some type of shorting out issue going on as well.what does your points look like?burned out????pitted??
also,if you dont go with electronic ig. you might want to try blue streak points.i personally have never used them but they are suppose to be better.i think they use copper contacts.

no air leaks checked for that, and checked for any shorts, and have new,and the correct wires.the old points were pitted along one edge of points badly.i did notice the coil has no markings as to which is positive or negative mmm?i'm really stumped on this as this is not my first sportythat i put together.i also rewired bike and had it checked.everything by the book{factory book that is}i think i will have to take it to the dealer or shop and let them figure it out,but would like more suggestions before i do.
