nope corks were right buddy borrowed bike (last time that will happen) when i was gone and ajusted my vavles for me and slide upper tube down and i didnt realise that it went that way thanks for your help going for a ride right now
bigfish....I take your last post as 'everything is OK now'
If your buddy adjusted the valve clearence for you, I would advise rechecking that yourself. Might save having a burned valve(s).
Buddies are great, but they need to only work on their own equipment and leave yours alone. Same goes double for 'borrowing'.
pinion... Everthing is fine now i did readjust the valve clearence they were a little tight. He said that the upper tubes were already down when he got the bike.I find this hard to belive as it didnt leak when i left and i know i didnt touch them before i left. I just wish i would have realized that the upper tubes were slid down sooner i kepped putting them back on with the tubes slide down. But it doseint matter now because it runs like a raped ape and i have 3 week before i have to go back to work in Alaska.
bigfish......Thanks for confirming everything is OK. Enjoy your three weeks off and I hope you get some miles in before your return to Alaska. I did a auto tour of a large part of Alaska (the small portion that has roads anyway) two years ago. Fantastic place! We took a cruise on a boat (Lu-Lu Belle) when we were in Valdez.
I notice your photo of the harbor shot with all that snow. You work on a boat?
yea i am an engineer on a old (1924) halibut schooner. That was wrong pic but that is the boat i fish on.The pic was taken in early may of this year in Kodiak Ak
sorry to stay off topic, but i spent last summer in seward alaska, and did some fill-in deckhanding on a 6pack halibut boat where i worked. beautyful scenery, really the best job i could ever hope to have.
