Default Voltage Regulator

Can anyone show me some shots of where the stock voltage regulator is on a 74 Sporty. I bought one the other day and don't know where to put it. Its one of the Motor Factory Finned Rectifier/regulators form Custom Chrome. It looks like the mount and holes just under the triple trees on the down tubes will line up but I dont know how good of an idea it is to hang it out there in the weather.

It's locate little different in XLH than XLCH, in frame little back from battery..
Or in front alike in this picture of -74 XLH, in XLCH regulator is where starter relay is on XLH.

Stock 74' XLH would be behind the battery box on the left side just above the starter relay. I really hope you bought a solid state regulator. The old points type suck out loud.

Yes I bought a solid state one. I also forgot to mention that I have a 74 XLCH. Oh and I noticed in your photo of your bike sepixlh that your seat braket is welded on the top side of the frame. Mine is welded on the bottom of the backbone.
