Default generator replaced wont start!

the bike ran like a beautiful thing... i installed a new Genny and now it just cranks but wont start... any ideas?????

i replaced the Genny because the light kept coming on and there has been lots of noise i tracked down to the Genny... i hoped i could kill two birds with one Genny (noise,light)..........

This is uaually referred to as polarizing the generator. Needs to be done any time the gen is removed from the bike for service.

You do not need to disconnect the wires to polarize. The A terminal is the lower one closer to the front of the bike.

BTW, never do any electrical testing or electrical trouble shooting unless you know absolutely for certain that the battery is fully charged. Best is to use an automatic battery charger, max 2 amps [no more than 2 amps!]. Typically they are between .75 amps and 1.5 amps.
