Well what you expect from a video from a HD dealer? It would mean much more to me if it was coming from someone (not HD) who was testing a few Electric bikes side by side with an open mind about the real results not which one was paying the bills.
Isn't it a fact that dealers are not actually HD but their own businesses?
If this bike fails how bad could it be for the MoCo? As an HD owner I want the company to thrive.
Yes they are independently owned businesses; however, their fate is intrinsically tied to Harley's fate. Most dealers are exclusive Harley dealers (some are multi-line).
The LiveWire is a unique product. It isn't intended to be a high-volume seller, it is more of a statement, a Halo product. It will probably sell relatively few. But it is the stake in the ground to assert Harley's intent to be the king of electric motorcycles, and will be followed by many more models including a middleweight, a mountain/dirt bike, a scooter, and at least three electric bicycles, according to the prototypes they've shown so far.
I think the take away from my test rides of the pre-production bike way back and the results of all the new reviews is they're an awesome ride. Every test has been ultra positive about the Livewire with much praise from all the new owners as well.
When Robert Patrick the T1000 says the Livewire is the best bike in the Harley stable in a stable of already great bikes that's good enough for me.
