LiveWire on the Big Screen in Working Man
Towards the end of the film the guy on the bike crashes it through a window to get inside, and Statham murders him instantly and we see the bike crash into a wall and explode, and as it's laying there dead on its side I finally I was able to identify it -- it was a LiveWire S2 Del Mar(!)
The bike's big moment is when it crashes, explodes, and lies dead like a cockroach. Foreshadowing, perhaps? Poetic justice? Irony? Call it what you will.
What in the hell was Harley thinking? Who's in charge of marketing over there? I actually like the Del Mar S2 (for what it is) but a 1%er Russian biker gang?? Who thought this was a good idea?
Director: "We've got a movie with a savage murderous gang of Russian mobsters led by a giant Special Ops guy who wears a helmet with horns on it. They're the enforcers for a human trafficking/drugrunning operation. We thought that since they're all genuine badasses who hang around in a stereotypical biker bar, "hey, maybe Harley would want to sponsor us with a bike."
Harley: "Sure, we've got the exact perfect match. We'll send over a LiveWire Del Mar."
(later, in post production)
Editor: "Wait, what the hell do we do with this? Didn't you guys record audio???"
Post Production Audio: "It's electric.. It doesn't make noise."
Editor: "#@^ !#$(@& $%##. Screw it. Dub in some motorcycle sounds from a cheap Honda parallel twin. And while you're at it, do a female voiceover so everyone knows it's a girl's bike."
