I am planning a ride from SW Florida to Johnstown Pa for Thunder in the Valley in June. Leaving SW Fl on June 19 and plan to take 3 days, all on the back roads. 321 thru Carolina's, Blue Ridge Parkway and 219.
Any body interested in hooking up for a good ride.
Camping, staying at a place called Mirror Lake, or something like that. Rooms are not available anywhere close, or not that I could find. Even camping is about full.
This camp ground is about 15 miles away from downtown and they claim everybody in there that weekend is in town for Thunder.
I actually live north of Buffalo NY. The sign is from rt 219 around Bradford, Pa. Decided to take Lucille's pic about 7am on a Sunday morning after the Wandersfest. Was headed to Dunkirk b/4 heading home.
I called for Johnstown the 2nd weekend in Jan and could only find a place in Edinsboro(?) about 20 miles north.

You probably mean Ebensburg. Not a bad ride into Jtown at all. Plus you'll find great eats at Kosta's in the Ebensburg mini-mall.
