Been riding since 1965 (62 XLCH) & wanderred far & wide away from the HD camp with riceburners & Nortons for a long time. Bad accident on LA Freeway put me down for a while and I wanderred out of two-wheeling for a while (20 years). Broken neck (car accident) and bout with cancer slowed me down a tad, too.
Been on the rebound lately and decided it was time to go back to my first riding love on two wheels. Got a 1988 1200 Sportster, nicely restored & customized exactly to my taste. I'm single, so the solo rig is perfect.
He was freshly restored when I got him, so I added some emblems and accessories to make him as multi-purpose as my Swiss-Army knife. Never thought I'd have a new love affair at my stage of life, especially with a boy (he definitely ain't a girl)... ?:-)
Want to use him as a boulevard TT-style cruiser, occasional medium-distance touring trips and all-purpose utility vehicle (local shopping trips & hauling chores). Don't have a car, so my new boy will have to fill the bill.
Did I mention 'looking sharp and one-of-a-kind' is also important?
Looking forward to belonging to your fine & informative forum for Sportsters.

May I introduce you ro Mikeeeeeeeeeeee in the Religious forum. Maybe you two can get together and have some deep conversations. He is a very well respected member and very knowledgeable.
