I have a 2016 that had Trans rattle that was pretty much solved using a higher quality trans lube I am thinking MAYBE a different (Redline/Amsoil ect ) trans oil that doesn't break down so easily when hot might stay put and not so easily transfer ??? Just a thought ? Thinking about getting an M8 & So this is interesting !

Dropped off my 2017 Triglide at the dealer on July 27th for oil lamp coming on at idle, after a 50 mi. ride, but would go out after taking off. Occurred on last three rides. 400 miles on bike. Svc. mgr. called after a couple days and said they had to take several long rides to re-create oil lamp coming on. Advised they found a noisy camshaft and said it was obviously poorly machined and a new one was ordered along with "several other pieces". Still no clue about the oil lamp coming on. Beginning to wonder "what's next".
12,300 mostly highway Touring miles, rotors warped but within spec and causing brake lever pulsation..if I want new rotors they are on my dime..oh well
edit: I shouldn't have posted this here but can't delete it. warped brake rotors aren't an 'M8 Problem', same system as my Rushmore RK..sorry
DUDE! You cant be posting positive stuff about the M8. All those 103 guys are gonna have a hay day with you. The M8 is the devil!!!! Wont last 500 miles. I pretend I don't like mine sometimes just so people will talk to me!
HAHA just kidding!
Okay now that's funny, but seriously from reading some of these posts I'm kind of expecting my M8 to just blow up or something as I ride down the road. I guess until it does I can safely say it's the best damm motor to come out of Milwalkee!!!!!
Picked up my Triglide from the dealer yesterday. New cam and oil pump and fluid change. Oil lamp problem fixed. A big thank you to Cool Springs HD service department, and to the tech that did the good work.

Happy to hear your bike is good. I understand that the oil light problem isn't really going away. How many miles on your bike?

So, I am wondering if the dealer actually put a dial indicator on your rotors to confirm that they are warped? If so then they must have raised the "specifications" for rotors just like they did for cranks being out of spec. I have never gotten over that little trick.
