Since there are no adjustable levers for these models yet I ended up bending my lever to make the engagement point much closer. Much improved for me now.
Would you mind letting us know in detail how you bent it? I've thought about doing the same thing, but all I could think about was a broken clutch lever.

Sure. I've bent two of them. One I heated first. And this one I bent cold in a hydraulic press. Took about 3 tries to get it right. But it worked fine. Figured I hated the stock lever so I had nothing to lose. If it broke I'd just buy another.

Thank you! Your comment about "hating the stock lever" makes perfect sense.

As I understand it, motor cops are accustomed to having a pretty wide range of friction for a clutch for their various maneuvers. I wonder how LEOs would adapt if they are going to use the new model. Anyone confirm/deny?

Are you saying the '17 clutch is different than the hydraulic clutch used on '14 and up Rushmore bikes?

Yes. That is true. Different clutch and different master cylinder.

I found the clutch engaged too far out for my fingers as well. The dealer said they could adjust them slightly, and that if that isn't enough, we can go to adjustable levers. I haven't picked up the bike yet to see if the adjustment worked well enough yet.

ok so after putting some miles on this past weekend and really studying the clutch friction point it seemed to get worst after the bike was warm to the point of scaring me a few times trying to pull out into traffic so called the dealer and dropped it off Monday they called me Monday night and said that after bleeding the system it felt good till they road it and after it got hot went to hell again so Harley want's them to measure it cold and then measure it hot and call them back
