I think I've heard that more oil pumps from the oil cooled motors are failing. I might have it backwards.
I believe you do have that backwards ..according to this thread and a friend with a CVO Limited that had the same issue it appears to be a Twin-Cooled problem they have a smaller oil pump than the air/oil cooled models.
Who knew? I just clicked on a thread that looked interesting....I never even looked to see what forum it was in.
Oh well....Still no interest in those bikes, I'll just move along.
No worries. I am sure lots of folks have no interest. Just got back from a fall color ride. The worst part was having to pull this machine into the garage. This is my third Harley and by far the best of them all. Even with $1,000's put into the others. I even considered buying a Victory. But this bike matches (or even beats) them.

I agree. First HD that I don't care to go all out on. Every one of my last 5 had Breather, headers and pipes along with several Dyno tunes. I did buy a license for my PV and flashed a "Stock Improved" map, but really just need a better note in the exhaust. Believe it or not, it actually gave the stock pipes a little better roar.
I'm tired of spending $$$$$$ on stuff you can't get anything out of even if you part it out on trade-in.
