I'm very interested to see what they offer you now. The new M8 made a pretty big difference from what I've gathered. Just like happened if you remember when the Rushmore's came out. Everyone want's the newest and latest. Especially if it really is something "better". Please let us know as soon as you've gotten your offers.
One more thought for example. I was at my local dealer the other day and they had left over 2016's. Even so, they've never been big on doing much of a discount on the model year old bikes. They have a very nice Limited bike that I was interested in. I asked about it and he told me he would be willing to take an offer on it "a fair bit" below MSRP because the M8's are all anyone is talking about or buying now...
Well said...! Step One.. I have to get my bike into the shops to see what they offer me. There are 4 shops within 30 miles of me. I would be foolish to not go to all of them and find out what they will offer. Time is running short here in WI before that white $hit is on the road.
That white $hit is your ally, buy the bike and let it snow, you will have a jump on them come spring[smile]

Be prepared to walk...more so than before with this new engine and all. I've been to two and they're asking for a mighty expensive penny.

Well both of these are very true statements. I ran some numbers yesterday with the offer I was given this spring on trade for a '16... (10.5K which I don't feel I'll get anymore) As another has mentioned took about 50% for all the upgrades. Did a build on the HD site and got MSRP on a bike with some options I would want to put back on for sure. From what I could figure, I'd be my bike plus $22K to get me started. This still leaves a lot of extras on my bike I will have to re-purchase.
My bike has a FM 107" and I also have aftermarket suspension.(which in my opinion is nicer then the '17 Suspension that I rode) So I've been all weekend debating on what my $22k is truly buying me. (Hydraulic Clutch, Infotainment, liquid cooled heads, 2 year warranty)... The wife and I spent 5 hours riding yesterday looking at the fall colors. Riding some awesome twisties we like. Really got me thinking about this. I just don't think I'm ready to shell over $22K + right now. Maybe that will change over winter or spring, but right now...?? I'm not feeling it...
Yep, I know what your saying.. Use the white $hit as leverage, cuz spring I will not get the same deal. I don't disagree with that one bit. Ugggg...!
