All the HD OEM M8 calibrations I've worked with have the Speed Limiter set to turn ON at 109.36 MPH and then turn back off once you slow to 106.25 MPH. So I can see the 110 indicated by some but 115 is most likely and error in trying to read the speedo at that speed.

Default Speed Limter

I've noticed that one of the many options available with my Dynojet Powervision is to set the speed limiter to whatever you wish. It actually refers to it as fuel cut off to the cylinders at a set MPH and somewhat strangely, you can set the front and rear cylinders separetly.

Might get flamed for this, but 130 is not something I want to experience on any Harley.

Based on my 17 RG with full length suspension setup (13" air shocks) the bike is rock solid at 100mph for mile after mile.
I have no reason it would feel any different at 130.
I have had '94 Ultra (130k mi), '98 RG (98k mi), '03 RG (88k) and the '17 RG (6.5k mi).
None of the bikes instilled confidence in stability as well as the '17. I believe this is due to the '09-up chassis AND full length rear air shocks set for the loads encountered. An on-the-fly (compressor & valving) air pressure adjustable suspension is worthwhile for sure.
Being able to stiffen or soften the rear suspension as riding for differing road and load conditions make a huge difference as compared to just the set-an-forget suspension we have as delivered or e after market.
Don't even start me on the hunt for an air suspension that works. None of the air shock systems work due to no springs and rely on air pressure only.
An Ohlins gas pressurized shock with an air bag around it for preload adjustment would, IMO, be the best of both worlds. The stock FLH 13" air shocks are somewhat close but engineers will never buy in since the air pressure is allowed to mix with the shock's oil.
Start changing geometry with big front wheels and/or 1" lower RGS shocks (stock now), and all handling bets are off,
Bob

dunno...
It would take a strong ( jet propulsion) engine to get to redline in high gear :>)

There is a huge difference between 100 and 130.

Also, we are talking about a stock bike having a speed regulator on it. Im sure with money, you can make any bike steady. I routinely go 150+ on my Ducati, and it feels like 55.

Anything over 120 on a 900 pound Harley is just a bad Idea, unless you know what you are doing.

I must be the only one that doesn't understand the need to go above 80mph on 2 wheels. Too much can go wrong at high speeds

Going 150 on my Ducati is always on the track.

Mine goes 79 mph cruise control on down I-40, other than passing that's as fast as I need to go, but... I hate the idea of a limiter due to the off chance that I need to go 109.36999 mph (+) to get out of a sticky situation etc. And i don't mean from the cops LOL.
