I have run Mustang seats for 15+ years, lots of miles 800 mile days a time or two and more 4-500 miles days than I can count and the Mustang fit the bill every time. For my 2017 RGU I went with the Mustang Super Touring with driver backrest. I am 6'7" and it pushes me back 1 3/4" which is good. I have only had it on a couple of weeks with the longest ride being 200 miles but so far I am loving it
I liked my sundowner on my 07 roadking.I tried a Tallboy on my 2016 RGS and I was good for 75 miles. This was a demo seat.I demoed the worn out hammock and I was able to go twice as far.I rode tell my butt hurt and it took 2 1/2 hours.I felt that was good.So I bought the hammock.I just installed a backrest and highway pegs and I'll see if that helps.I don't think I'm the type of guy that can go all day without stopping every couple hours.Just the way it is.
We have plenty of options to help make sure you love what we offer , an option as mentioned is many seat centers throughout the United States. I also have additional options to help make it a risk free purchase that I'd be happy to discuss with you. Please do feel free to message us here or contact me directly at bcates@saddlemen.com or call 800 397 7709 x 239 . I am always happy to help. Thanks!

Have you tried the Hammock? I just sold my Saddleman seat. Horrible seat. Good for an hour at best. The gel was like a rock.
For long rides I put my hammock seat on. I can go tank to tan . No need to stop.
Not too sure what the issue with the seat was for you but I assure you the gel wasn't hard. We have a medical grade gel that doesn't freeze or melt. It is an amazing feature that helps make our seats very very comfortable. Did you speak with us regarding your seat? Let me know please. Thanks.

Wow, what a gap in experience with the same seat. I just put 800 miles on my Saddlemen Dominator and rode tank to tank many of those miles. By far the most comfortable seat I have ever used. I am approx. 5'9" and 270 lbs. I had zero aches and no post ride soreness for the first time ever after a long ride.

....definitely a personal choice.
Indeed the more you ride it the more it rewards you with comfort!
I have a Saddlemen Road Sofa (from about 2008ish???).... anyway it has been on all of my bikes since 2009.
Bought it off Craigslist for $125...best purchase I have ever made for a Harley.
