While it may not be a "Hammock", the seat on the Ultra Limited is a very nice seat. Why not give it a couple thousand miles and let it break-in and form to your butt?? You may decide not to spend a bunch of cash on something you may not need.
Of course, if you're already past that "couple thousand miles" the above doesn't apply. My RK now has 30k on it and I'm thinking about a new seat now as well as mine feels like it's getting kind of flat. Hammocks are nice, but pricey! If you get one, I get first dibs on your stock seat.
Any new opinions on the HD Hammock seat? I got a 13 Ultra Limited and need a comfortable seat. Thanks.
I have had a butt pain problem for a long time. I even tried a Russell Day Long on my last bike which is custom made to your weight and height which cost me $700 and still I couldn't ride 100 miles without discomfort.
That was on a Kawasaki Concours.
I bought a Harley Road King and purchased the Hammock seat and I can easily go 300 miles or farther. It is a really nice comfortable seat. I can't hardly believe how much I enjoy riding again.
we have the heated Hammock on the EG, and LOVE it on cooler days or am rides! Even as a a passenger, I think it's very comfortable, and can easily ride several hours before having to get off. The hubbs can ride for hours also.
Thanks for your comments. Let me put it this way. I got the bike 7/17, went on a trip and now have 6900 on the bike. I did the 650 mile days. Usually after a hundred miles I am starting to squirm. I think the longest I rode was like 170 miles. After the break I am good for another hundred. I would like to extend the comfort or even eliminate being uncomfortable. So far several like the hammock. I was kind of looking for someone that maybe did not like it. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
