I do believe my my trans broke
Big Snow storm coming so I was relocating the bike on the property, but before this I'll run it around the block.. as I was hastily doing so it appears 4th gear went away.. it wined then in 1st to third but engaged enough to get me home.. in neutral its wining as well w clutch out.

Yeah I'm sad but ok.. my concerns is how long till fixed and why am I braking the trans on a quick shift?

Well at least you are covered and better this time of year then later on in the year when the weather is better. Good luck and keep us posted.

If the bike"s been setting for weeks and cold wether, the clutch discs can be dry and behave this way. They have been now soaked for a time, may try it again and it may be fine.
