I did read about "Soft Brake's" modified stock levers, but they clearly state on their website:
SoftBrakes's reduced reach clutch lever for 2017 and newer touring bikes w/hydraulic clutch.
SoftBrakes' reduced reach clutch lever for 2017 and newer touring bikes w/hydraulic clutch. Reduces reach 1" less then stock, smoother, easier operation. Great for riders that are use to the older cable clutches or with smaller hands - Exhange - Chrome
**This clutch lever will not allow the bike to start in gear without modifying the switch**
They take a stock chrome lever and bend it in. I think I am just gonna bite the bullet and buy the Oberon's or similar lever and check it out. Could sell it I guess if I don't like it, but to date, on damn near every bike I have owned (except dirt bikes) I have adjustable levers and like them. Only bike I can't get them for is my Vic X1 and it is very much like the HD. I did the hydraulic clutch upgrade to it as stock, they come with a cable. It takes a bit of a reach and it stiffer than I would like, just like my RKS.
My hubby watched a video online on how to shorten the reach on my clutch (2017 Road King). Wrapped the clutch well in a towel and put it in a vice - worked perfectly and not a scratch on the clutch. Bike still starts in gear and cost was......ZERO!
would you be kind enough to ask your hubby for the link to the YouTube instructions or the search string he used to find it.
I've tried several times to find it but no luck.
Thanks
Bob
