Default massive amount of blow by

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. The last time I checked the oil level hot it was a little above the mid line.

Basically right now I have so much blow by coming out the air cleaner that it is running down the side of the bike, onto the pipes and onto the ground. This is friggin ridiculous.

I can smell burning oil off the pipe when stopped.

There is oil sprayed all over the bag, the seat, my leg, my shoes.

I just had the bike in for an oil pump replacement due to the light coming on at idle. Since getting it back the blow by has been WAY worse than it was before going in.

Havent checked the oil level since getting it back but I would assume an HD tech wouldnt pack the bike so full of oil it would be a problem.

Thoughts?

Don't assume anything! Check the oil level first...

There is a thread on all the issues with the M8, may want to post this there or Mods can move it. I read yesterday in this "Issues" thread or another M8 thread with this sympton.

Nope, I haven't had this issue. There's definitely something wrong.

me neither, actually have been very surprised and impressed with the SE Hi Flow AC kit..not only not puking but no addt'l noise which I figured would both be issues..not only that, the K&N isn't the filth monger I thought it would be..TB has been clean and oil doesn't hardly look dirty after 3K...

Mine was puking oil with 120 miles on it. I thought I had a bigger issue. Got out the turkey baster and pulled some oil out of the crankcase. Not a drop since. Yours may have more oil than it needs.

How did you pull oil out of the crankcase with a turkey baster?

The baster that 'Doshounds' is speaking of is a plastic tube with a rubber bulb on the top of it. Using it is pretty self-explanatory.

You are probably thinking of a baster brush.

yeah, I had my 1K service completed and had the same issue. Didn't puke alot, but since I didn't see it prior to that, Oil was at the very top mark on the stick. Drained out some and got it down to the 3/4 mark on the stick cold and it is fine now. Don't assume the dealer fills it to the right level.
