One thing I will say about this whole thread and the OP. Seems to me this was a lot more than just glare on the screen. You bought an entirely different bike, not even remotely close. to a RGS so maybe you just bought the wrong bike to begin with.
Someone else mentioned to me his RG was glaring him out, I told him to buy a good pair of polarized sunglasses and the glare went away.
What ever the reason, sweet bike.

Glare and the sun reflecting in your eyes are two different problems. Yes , it was more than just the Sun reflection but that was the breaker. There were a few things about the RGS that I could not stand. 10 mile test rides are not enough. Next time, if there is one, I will rent for a couple of days. Anyway, now water under bridge and quite happy with what I have now. Moving on...
