Default How to get more power in Friction Zone?

What is the best way to increase the pull/power/speed in the friction zone for low speed maneuvering?

Bump up your rpm a little bit. Your speed will be regulated by how much rear brake is applied.

that is good advice but thats the difficult part, i was hoping to make it a bit easier by not having to apply much throttle

Practice brakeless. The simple act of quick back and forth transitions will slow you down. Makes you a better rider too. Other than that, the only way to get more power is to increase rpm's.

Maybe about 1200 rpm or so. That's not much. You may not be nailing the friction zone yet.

Adjustable clutch lever will give you much better control of the clutch. Moving the engagement in closer to the grip make a world of difference.
Another thing that helps is the extended read brake pedal. Less angle better control.

So true. If you ride you got used to the clutch, if your not liking your clutch your not riding enough. Same thing for finding -N- and a host of other things folks complain about. There is no need for fancy levers, oils or anything else. Just ride and give your brain a chance.

The M-8 is one of the few H-D's that I can easily take off in third gear like butter. The other is the Street Bob with a 120R.

"Friction zone" I'm old fashioned. Slipping the clutch is still slipping the clutch. No need for reclassifying.

I'm a former motor officer. You shouldn't have to increase your rpms too high nor put too much pressure on the rear brake. It really doesn't take that much. A higher rpm with more brake translates into greater clutch wear. Plus, I've seen guys over rev the rpms so much that they start jambing on the rear brake and the whole bike starts bucking out of control. Remember there's more to tight turns than just friction zone. Practice friction zone and the correct form (head and eyes, etc) and tighten the turns as you get comfortable.
