Wanting to get a price/reality check on this deal.
Was picking up a couple of things at my local HD. They have a 2017 Ultra Limited two tone. Sales guy asked if I wanted to see what kind of deal they could do. I said sure, but I'm happy with my current ride (2016 RGS).
Sales guy came back with $26K out the door...registration, tag, etc, etc, etc.
I wasn't overwhelmed with the deal. I'm thinking a better price is around the corner...
Out the door price of $26K sounds pretty good. If they are fair on your RGS. Sounds like they may have a buyer looking for a used RGS. They make about $1K (give or take) plus another $1k moving your bike. $2K to $2500 for an hours worth of paperwork.
I was pencilling it out and I'm basically getting $18k for my bike, about $1k over payoff. The Ultra Limited comes out to $25,500. The diff is the tag, title and taxes--crazy.
I agree with you, a Better price is around the Corner. The invoice on a 2017 Limited is 21,650 that's what they pay for that new bike. Maybe a little more with set up , etc.. The Deal they offered Ain't Bad but... the 18s are 18 days away. And if you could sell your Bike Yourself , Your in the Drivers Seat. This is a Buyers Market... Finally! Good Luck with your Deal , I'm right behind in Sept.

Just curious, have you checked with the HD dealer in Beaumont?
I've been shopping around for a 2017 RGS in Superior Blue, they didint have any left but offered to ship a Vivid Black for $19969. That price doesn't include NC tax and tag but that's a smoking deal.
I was bound and determined to buy something other then black again, but it's tough to pass up
