This is easily the best HD I've owned. The '78 SG, the '09 UC, and the '14UL were not even close. That does not mean I did not love them all (well, the '78 tried my patience more than once). This is the first one I did not leave the dealership wondering how much it was going to have to spend on motor and suspension upgrades.
I didn't intend to sound morbid or morose. Postmortem is a common term used for after action reports or post project discussions, analyzing what went right and what didn't.
Look bud, obviously you can't afford one. If you could then you would go out and just buy it. If a better model came out, you would just trade up. Simple as that. Try a Yamaha or whatever brand fits your budget constraints.

I am glad you love your bike!
After action reports? I've written a few of them in my time and never once used that term.
I own a 2017 CVO Limited with stage 4. I also own a 2010 CVO Ultra that I just rode 5600 miles to Sturgis. The '10 is an outstanding machine. My 2017 CVO Limited is now on its 3rd engine so I guess if I had to do it over again, knowing what I know now....I wished I had waited a year or perhaps given closer consideration to alternatives brands. We'll see what HD brings to the market next week. Hopefully they are able to re-ignite excitement and loyalty from long standing customers as well as new customers with their new bikes. Given my recent experience and their recent sales declines, they have some work to do.

**** or get off the pot.
Mr. Skewl, have you seen the movie "The Terminator," where Arnold has a heads up display that gives him several possible responses to the janitor? That.
I didn't realize civilians had co-opted our term for documenting military actions. In any event, I imagine some of those "marketing meetings" can get pretty bloody.
In my time, (US Army 1969-2001) the AAR was never referred to as a "post-mortem." Considering the circumstances, it would have been in poor taste.

We didn't really, I used AAR as a way to explain my usage of postmortem. It's a quite common project management and product development term.
Yeah, definitely not a good term for a military AAR that likely includes casualties.
Sad but true, seems the majority of posts on this M8 forum are from non M8 owners.
I have seen more negativity regarding the M8's from non-M8 owners as well. Everything can have issues. No different than the clutches, water pumps, compensators .... etc.. on the other Rushmore models. It's almost like the married guy hating on the single guy with a girlfriend that is a professional model if you ask me. I have never met an M8 owner with a major problem only talk about the issues here on the forums. My dealership has only had one CVO with an oil pump issue so far and they have put a lot on the road.
