I stand corrected. I just went and looked and you are right.
I want to even out my exhaust because my left side is pretty much non existent now with the design of the stock pipe and pancake crossover. I paid good money for two nice slip ons, I want to hear both of them!! LoL

I called Fuel Moto asking if they are going to release a full size X over for the M8. and the answer was that its not necessary, That they got better performance keeping the factory crossover. That unless you are running over 125hp the flow dynamics of the 2/1/2 actually helps the motor make the power band it is making.
Essentially you get the benefits of a 2/1 system while retaining a full 2 pipe system.
Fuelmoto is not leaving any power on the table,if a bigger crossover would get more power and torque out of the bike, they would have made one and charged more for it.
Just don't see any way possible that the FM does anything that a decatted stock pipe wouldn't do, its the exact same build, collector area, crossover, everything.
Compared to a decatted stock pipe our collector is significantly better, as is the section after it which provides higher velocity. Our collector also features a tunable insert (TCI) that allows you to adjust flow characteristics for the mufflers & engine combination you are running. The Jackpot M8 2/1/2 is designed for motors making stock up to about 130Hp, we will also be releasing a hi output XXX version for the M8 this winter similar to our twin cam xxx pipe that will support 150+HP

The ones that need to be schooled are the reps who answer the phone there, I called in and spoke with a rep and we had a good conversation about the pipe. I explained that I have a decatted stock pipe and wanted to know honest and real expectations, I was told "not to expect much over what I have" He did say that the tone may change just a little for the better but volume would be the same. Sound is really my main goal, I'm not concerned that much about performance because all I have is stage 1 and its running about as good as its going to for what it is. I want a pipe thats gonna direct some sound to the left muffler not 90% out the right. With the "T" joint of the the FM and any other pipe that uses that type of collector/crossover its gonna be the same as a decatted stocker.
And I also gives props to FM and the rep I spoke with for his honesty. I would much rather hear "don't expect much" instead of a load of BS that would not happen and then be let down when I get the product if it didn't live up. I know these guys are a great company and like I said before I'm sure the pipe is a top notch quality piece, I just don't think there is enough difference, for me, to switch out a decatted stock pipe.
