Default Stage 3 worth it?

After talking to my dealer I'm gonna stay away from the dynojet and headers for another year and a half or so. Thinking about doing the stage 3 kit, the stage 4 kit seems like it's a more high rpm race setup. The stage 3 seems to be more grunt oriented. Is the 1500 bucks worth it? I have a month to go till my 60
Days are up so I was gonna call my dealer and and ask if I build the motor and buy the parts from them if they'll put it on my factory warranty or do their techs have to do it. If their techs have to do it I wanna buy the parts and have them install em later when it's shitty and wet outside.

Where did you get $1500 bucks from? My stage 3 cost several thousand and yes it was worth it to me.

I think the kit itself is only $1500, then you have to put install/labor on top of that.

Cams are different, SE498 for the stage 3 and Se515 for the stage 4.

Talked to the dealer today and if I buy the parts before the 60 days are up they'll open an RO and if I get the kit installed next month they'll be able to get it put on the factory warranty. They quoted me 10 hours to do the install and HD has to do the Install to get it done under factory warranty but if I do it myself it won't void my warranty. So probably 3000 out the door to have them do it. I'm leaning towards just doing it myself this winter, I build motors at work all the time and just don't think I can stand shelling out 1000+ bucks to have someone do it for me. Air cooled v twins are very simple engines.

I have slip ons already, if you had the dealer do
It before you took delivery you had and Intake and slip ons and a tuner on your bill too, plus the install labor. Probably 4000-4500 bucks I bet?

So do you have the stage 2 already? That alone is around 1300 bucks counting labor. I think the kit with the cam is 400 and labor was I believe, 900 or so.

Why would you need to do stage 2 before 3? Stage 2 is just a cam upgrade, it's the cam below the se498. If it were the same cam I could understand that but the stage 3 comes with its own cam. Your buying parts twice if you go from stage 2 to 3.

I was pointing out the cost of JUST a cam upgrade. The stage 3 kit is 1500 bucks. Not counting install

So what is the benefit of going to Stage III over Stage II besides bumping up cubic inches?
