Just checked and mine does the same thing only with the handlebar switch though. It is definitely not the fuel injection, sounds like the ECM resetting or something. I'm not concerned with it at all.
Quik, thanks for letting me know. Same for me, it only makes the sound when you shut the bike off from the handlebar kill switch.
Yes, I realized last night it wasn't the fuel pump in the tank I was hearing, it's definitely the ECM buzzing. It's the same sound the ECM makes when you first turn the ignition switch to "on" when you start the bike.
I sent an email to V&H tech support. I'll let you know what they say.
Well, if all three of you notice it, might be normal. I wonder if the powervision does it as well or only the FP3.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm "assuming" that when you shut the bike down with the kill switch it cuts power to the ECM, but not the FP3, so the FP3 triggers the ECM like it would on start up.
V&H emailed me back and said it was the fuel pump which I explained it wasn't. They said the ECM doesn't have any mechanical parts in it, so it wouldn't make a "buzz" sound. Then they told me to flash it back to the stock map and see if it still does it.
