Morning, when first bought the SGS I wasn't aware the siren was included, only the security system was standard. Took my chance and bought a $25.00 siren off eBay instead of the one in the H-D website.
Literally all I did was take the side cover off, plug it in, tuck it into the slot and voila!
Part#: 68318-01A
This siren is made for Dyna/FXR but still worked on my 2017 SGS, so anyone thinking about it don't hesitate, cheap!

Does anyone know if there is a fix for using the remote for the siren on the 2017's? I tried two different ones (battery and rechargeable) at the dealer and they don't sync to the system. The dealer called Harley and they said no go. Was just wondering if anyone had a DIY or other solution for a remote?

Do you have a link for the $25 deal? Like another poster said, I can't find this part # cheaper than $75 on ebay.
I am in the same boat with my 17 RGS but when I do a search the cheapest is $75.00??? Using Harley 68318-01A as a search.

Bought mine used on those luck of the moment deals in eBay, been almost a year since. Really I will say all you need is the siren/black box, the one I bought came with all kinds of brackets but didn't use them. They were for Dyna/FXR bikes.
If you can find a cheap one even if it's meant for other models try it, bet it will work as long as the plug/pins matches.

Seen this one before, was my second choice if the one above didn't work. Believe is the same one sold at Radio Shack.

Loud enough. Itâs very irritating, and loud.
You can hear it from quite a distance away. The loudness depends on where you mount it.
I Velcro taped it to the top frame rail right inside the left cover. Loud as hell!
I donât think the dual would be much louder.
It is just as loud, if not louder than OEM siren on my buddies bike.
