No, it is not the sumping issue or oil pump. there have been reports of the crank seal allowing eng oil into the primary, sounds like what you have going on. do you do your services? You have to rule out that it was not overfilled at last service.
I had a blown seal on my RK. Lost a quart and a half into the primary. HD replaced the seal and it hasnt happened again.
If you think the extra oil you found in the primary came from your engine oil, your eng oil light should have illuminated for a low oil level.
This happened on my 2017 rgs all stock. Eng low oil light illuminated at about 9k miles. Service dept. found a bad seal between engine oil chamber and primary chain case. Eng oil migration into primary is no longer happening after this repair.

Very good point! I would assume that had I kept going, that would eventually happen. The engine oil was down about 1/2 a qt and still in the "OK" range on the stick.
