Now, I know this guy right, he's got big loop earrings and rides a Honda Chopper, 60's style death trap with drum brakes. Does someone have a Damn part number so I can tell him what I need.

Here is the video you were looking for, On your old post! You going to pull that cam or whistle Dixie? Lol
I'll be honest here.... I don't take my bike to the moco, 1st, I won't pay the $120 hour for some idiot who knows less than I've forgotten about motorcycles, and 2nd, since my cancer, the radiation on my brain fried my memory, short term I'm somewhat cool (as you can tell by me forgetting the old post) but anything that requires technical knowhow that I've done in the past I've lost about 70% of that.
So it's like a test, I'm apprehensive, cautious and always overthink it but I've built a dozen shovels in my life, somehow it's easy for me to remember that, I've never opened up anything other than a 95 EVO and that was a simple head swap.
I have a CR460 on the shelf but decided to go with the 22X. I bought everything needed including the lifters so I'll post some photos when it's done. I'll be riding by 1/7/18. All arriving today. Ordering the Jims cam tool as well.

Dealership will not sell the tool so I'm stuck. Used to be we would use the old cam and a sand hammer to pound in the bearing but I'm not doing that on my new M8.
Everywhere that sells the Jims tools (like Dennis Kirk) is currently out of stock which could mean that even Jims is out of them. Won't know until they open on the 3rd.
Sucks ***.

You're in my thoughts and prayers sir! God bless and let us know how the install goes.

This is not a high lift, high load cam like the Stage111 498 cam(which comes with the high load bearing and high lift valve springs)
Significantly there is no updated inner cam bearing in this pack so would not go digging around replacing a proven standard inner bearing,Let silent bearings alone!
If you have done the Twin Cam change this will be a breeze for you.Not a fan of the bolt cut short cut,but in favor of the reduced meddling on critical areas. One word on the video,I always wrap a small rag around the lower end of the pushrods before cutting, remove the upper pieces and tubes before removing the off cuts together with the debris catching cloth! Finally wipe out the followers and recesses with a clean rag before reassembly.Hold onto the bars and good ridin'. You don't need the cam tool. Keep the money in your pocket!

I went ahead and made a 3/8 reducer and pressed it into the 1/2" scavenger inlet just to make sure it is somewhat updated.Sort of following the principle of sucking with your lips pursed. This is more for peace of mind because,as Steve Cole previously posted, the sump scavenger port hole is smaller than 3/8".
Did follow free advice from our H D Master Tech.Keep the pump rotors intact and secured in original position.Take good care when aligning the rotors and cover plates, rotate the engine (pump) before tightening the 4 center bolts,.
Lastly be very particular about correct alignment and torque specs.
Keep it simple, don't worry, just do it!
All good done 2000 miles, mostly long distance high speed, zero issues except adjusting to the power increase!
