Is it burning it or leaking. My 2017 had a cracked head from factory that took 4000 miles before the dealership finally found it. They changed the rocker box gaskets twice before finally finding the crack in the rear head.
Anyone else using oil? I mean like a qt in 900 miles?
2018 Street Glide. Harley says 1qt per 1000 miles is acceptable usage... Really!

No oil seen anywhere. Although the right exhaust is slightly oily not just dry and sooty.

What year? Bought mine May of 2017. There was a new design on rocker box gaskets. Mine was also leaking on the rear exhaust pipe and side covers. The rocker boxes were leaking oil also.

dealership inspection and consumption process time...they can say all they want that should never be acceptable...not completely uncommon on some new ones and they often settle in to much more acceptable normal consumption..some stay put consistently

Basically 5 quarts in the recommended change interval, at that rate its a self changing system! Sounds to me like you need to find another dealer ASAP!

This was not the dealer, this was the answer from Harley Corporate. What kind of crap are they building to say that much oil consumption is normal???? I can drive any car Ive ever owned, including my high hp Z06 for 10,000 miles with Zero oil usage. Under Harleys math, 8 cylinders could use 4qts every 1000 miles and be ok....lol

Oh , that's even worse if the mothership said that, yeah that seems 150% unacceptable to me. If someone's 2018 uses no oil but yours uses that much then obviously it's a problem somewhere.
