Default Passenger heat

I tried to search and know there has to be other threads but I haven't found one? My wife says her right leg is painfully HOT! Stock 2018 ultra. I have ordered some floor board risers, hopefully this will help? Anyone have good suggestions?

thanks

if you value your warranty, go for the HD Cool Flow Fan kit which includes mid frame heat deflector..other than that people swear by getting catalyst free headpipes but that's an expensive and drastic measure having to deal with aftermarket tuner, etc...reports here from people using the Cool Flow fan seem to be it works as designed, which is to solve the problem your wife is having..assuming you've activated EITMS with no improvement?

It’s the cat in the headpipe. There are expensive aftermarket options or you can remove it yourself. But you do risk voiding your powertrain warranty. Some guys say the fans work pretty good.

My wife had same complaint with the CVO Limited we had. What fixed it was the cool flow fan and then I bought the SE High Flow Exhaust which moved the cats into the mufflers instead of directly below passenger floorboards.

I’ve had the HD Cool Flow fan since I took delivery of my ‘17 CVO Limited. The fan works great and pulls a tremendous amount of air off of the motor and down away from the rider and passenger. Even with the fan and twin cooled heads my wife and I still felt a lot of heat. The solve was the S&S 50 State EPA and CARB compliant exhaust with high flow cats in the mufflers. The exhaust made a noticeable amount of heat reduction and performance gain. Overall a much better riding experience and no worries about the warranty.
Good Luck

Also make sure she is wearing a real set of riding boots. Like mid-calf high or higher thick leather riding boots. Not those shiny thin walled wanna-be hooker boots. Leave those for the bedroom.

I have the cool flow fan, which works great when it's supposed to. However, that fan doesn't work when it's 90 degrees and you're above the speed that the fan turns on. So, I took the cat out of my stock pipe and BAM........exactly what I needed. Yeah, no cat = no warranty if they look in there and see the weld spots, etc etc. But I'm not worrying about. I kept the SE tuner and things run great for me. But I wouldn't trade that cool flow fan for anything because when I'm sitting at the light, that thing works great.

I pulled the cat out of our King and the right side of the motor still bakes at 90F and above at hwy speeds.

wow man .....you tuned? I have SE tuner, which isn't the best, but my tuner did a good job. I had mine dyno'd too......and happy with the results. I'll admit that 90 degrees is 90 degrees......but at highway speeds, my motor feels pretty good.
