Default Windshield Tint?

Has anyone every used rust-oleum lens tint on their windshield? I like the OEM Road Glide windshield as far as height, etc, just wish it was tinted.
Thanks

Never heard of it. Probably better posted in the Touring forum, there will be more eyes there, and a windshield is not an M8 engine.

I haven't.....but I sure would try it. It's a stock shield, so maybe grab one off of ebay. Maybe tint the inside of the shield. Many may disagree with the thought, but nothing to lose man.....especially if you get a stock take off from ebay just to play around with. Oh...I don't know what rustoleum tint is ............thought you were referring to window film like you put on cars and used to even tint windows of homes.

I used Nite Shades on car taillights with good success. The stuff was durable enough to last years. If applied to the back of the windshield, no reason it shouldn't last for many years and be far cheaper than a new shield. If it doesn't work, you strip it and you're back to clear.

you can tint the windshield with Candy Paint … I found some from Alsa in California … they have Killer Cans in 12oz spray in many different colors, expensive but worth it … clean the inside of the windshield with denatured alcohol, and only spray the inside until you get the depth of tint you want …

Candy paint is basically a tinted clear, the more coats the deeper the color

this is how my Road King windshield turned out
