Love hate. 2018 FLDE. 32MPG. Maybe 34 on the highway. 6th gear in town all of the time. Needs a 7th gear. Acceleration is sludgy. Sounds sludgy. Stage II. Dyno'd. I dunno man, kinda disappointed. Not even sure I like the sound. Was thinking of getting cruise control and Smart tuner, but I am afraid to double down on this bike.
Runs cooler though.
I can't run my '18 Breakout in 6th in town, can barely make it into 4th most of the time without the engine bogging down. No wonder your acceleration is sludgy.
I like mine. A LOT. But then I've only got a few hundred miles on it and I haven't had any problems. It's got plenty of power for my tastes, handles well, fits me well and sounds great. For me, nothing so far that is not to like.
I think there must be a tuning is you are getting poor gas mileage on my last three tank fulls I got 48 51 and 49 MPG that is with some fwy at 75 MPH and canyons on the gas. Bike runs way cooler than my 2015 SGS also 3600 miles no issues so far loving it.
We really like the 2018 Ultra Limited we picked up in May. Just over 1600 miles on it and no problems so far. Agree with every ones comments, the first service with the Synthetic change made all the difference in the world. Didn't think the M8 could get smoother than it was, the shift quieted down and the power is plenty. The handling is amazing and the brakes are no joke. I say go for it, its sooo comfortable, enjoy!

Now if I could just keep, the gas tank full. My green folding paper keeps migrating into the gas tank !!! Lmao
So far so good. Got about 700 miles on her now. Power is very constant through the Rpms. Only thing I don't like is the rear suspension. They could have done a better job with that for sure. 2018 Road Glide Special.
