Love the damn m8. It screws up I'll fix it.....that what I do. Does have one problem. Friggin gas tank keeps getting empty!!!
This!
Take it from a guy who spent the better part of the 80s going from one season to the next on what ever was the fastest street bike in the world. I love the power and the torque-curve on my M8. No longer racing from stoplight to stoplight, but like knowing theres some juice in the tank when the situation calls for it.
I'm too damn tired to give a full report but just got back from my Nationals in El Paso.
Total of 2109.3 miles - 839 of which were a straight shot down IH10 from El Paso Convention Center to my house in Port Arthur, TX in 24 hours (we stopped at 9pm and left back out at 8am so basically 13 hours of actual riding). I was riding 2-up with just north of 500lbs in rider/passenger/gear.
Other than riding in an oven, not a hickup. My 2017 RKS ran like a champ
Now that is an issue my bike has as well. Seems like every time I look down the fuel light is on again.
im not sure if you are joking, but it does seem like mine is always on empty too. not sure if i'm just riding a lot more these days or if its getting terrible mileage.

Now I'm past 5k miles on my 2018 RGU I've started monitoring my fuel mileage. I've checked the last two tanks, and am getting better than 40 mpg! My actual measurements show a little better than 42 mpg, but I round down a bit because of the gas pumps here in CA that make it difficult to top off the tank the way I'd like to. Because of the switch on the nozzle.
This is notably better than my 2016 stock 103 ElectraGlide. Evidently, the better valve train and other engine improvements have made this model burn less fuel. My riding habits haven't changed between the 2016 and the 2018. I carry a 140 lb pax about 80% of the time. I ride mostly highway, usually cruising at 70 or a bit higher. Occasional bursts to pass something, with engine speeds rising to 5k rpm at times, but never lingering there. Around town I ride legally, riding with traffic never making a scene.
I'm very pleased with the RGU M8, in many areas, not least of which is it gets very good mileage for a heavy bike.

suspect having to meet the strictest emissions Euro standards results in more efficient burn right?
Update: 2017 Ultra Limited 10,300 miles and it is flawless. Hot weather, slab, mountain roads, running hard and full-out at between 90 and 100 for many miles. All kind of riding. Love this bike.

I was being serious. I fill up at the 200 mile mark on each tank. I average 40.5 MPG. Have obtained as high as 44.1 and as low as 37.4
