we are doing almost the exact same trip...except leaving from the Midwest ..Doing 2 or 3 Days at the rally then off to Beartooth Pass, Yellowstone, then back thru Colorado/Pikes Peak

I just did Seattle to SF to LA, then to DC and back Home. 7728 miles in three weeks. Bike is awesome. In a couple weeks Im headed to Montana for a week road trip. Ya never know what the road will bring, Just get on it enjoy the day. Good times!
Did 6000 last year in two weeks from Charleston to Yellowstone, Cody, Beartooth, Chief Joseph, Sturgis, and then home.
Transferred 18 ounces of trans oil, just topped off at around 4500 miles, and never dumped the primary. Just kept going. No other issues and I wouldn't hesitate to take it out again and do the same ride.
