Pull a dipstick before you ride, pretty basic **** you know.....

Never rely on a gadget only on a bike, they've got years to go to catch up to automotive reliability.

I deal with many types of sensors on aircraft. Some are always active and alert while others wait for the system to poll them then they respond. Displays sometimes show the last response until something triggers the sensor.

^^^This, but I actually check mine at the end of each ride to get a good, accurate 'hot' reading. Every time. Never assume.

I guess i don't understand why it doesn't always display Ok. I always switch pages with the bike in motion. if there were an issues it would make sense that "check oil" would be displayed and it wouldn't switch over to "OK".
I get a momentary "0" on my 15 Limited sometimes. Always updates to the current pressure in less than a second, but gets my attention every time!!

Nothing to worry about. It's just the way the system works.
