Default It puts the Helium in the tires...

If helium was in the tires would this have an effect on the weight?

Now you've done it.

*These are the kinds of threads we USED to have around here before the M8 dropped and the world went mad.

It puts the wax on it outer fairing skin. LOL

I’d just like to know what the advantage would be in the first place. I know that it’s lighter than O2 but, how is making a bike lighter by .0000001 lbs going to make any difference??

Only that of your wallet - that weight reduction would account for a greater difference than the helium in the tires.

Of course, the helium would displace the O2 in the tires, and if you stored them for maybe 20 years it would help keep the insides of the tire new - but the outside would be shot.

I think this is the new strategy at H.D. to lighten their bikes

Just be careful not to use too much helium or you'll end up like Larry Walters.

Sometimes I wonder if I am just being punked here...but I tend to be a gullible sort so WTF! I assume you are talking about Nitrogen, not Helium. There are several presumed advantages to nitrogen, none of which I personally think are worth a hoot unless you are racing, which is another thread altogether. Helium is put in balloons and given to small children (see post 2). OK OK...Is there something in my teeth?????
