Default Stock M8 Cam/Lifter Wear

I've been running one of Fuel Moto's base maps that I auto tuned for about a year now so I decided to have my bike Dyno Tuned last week (FLHTK Stock engine 10,000 miles-V&H Power Duals-V&H HO mufflers-SE High Flow Air-PV Tuner)
About 1/2 way through an oil light came on. Since I don't have the factory HU anymore (Not that it would tell you anything) He pulled the oil sensor and put on a dial gauge. For whatever reason it was reading abnormally high pressure at idle at 30+ lbs and went up to 50 with a very slight twist of the throttle. He stopped and pulled the crank sensor, but no excess oil like sumping going on. Still not sure the only thing to do was to crack the cam chest open and at least look at the oil pump. He found a few burrs but nothing that he believed would have caused what was going on. He had the latest upgraded oil pump so that was a no brainer at that point. Also since he was in there anyway I decided to go with an S&S 465c and S&S lifters since the stock ones looked bad. Runout was .002 so that was ok. He retuned and everything was fine. Not completely sure what happened (Possible Oil pressure relief stuck?) but below are the pics of the stock cam and lifters that was replaced. In the end it was a good upgrade, just wasn't looking to do it at that time.

It won't let me attach the dyno sheet for some reason.

My lifters and cam looked brand new when I upgraded. Granted I only had around 6k on the bike when I had the work done. But still no signs of wear at all.

Your lifters are “frosted.” Yes it’s wear. I don’t have an M8, but the lifters on my 2016 RGS were replaced at 20,000 miles with the same issue. The problem is the crap quality lifters that Harley uses.
