I have a good friend that has a 2017 trike and it sumped on the dyno but actually was sumping before the dyno. Anyway HD sent the plate and it was installed and now no sumping, he is tickled to death. Say's bike run stronger and cooler than ever.

Just a dumb question on the M8 sumping-
Did HD not build a scavage side big enough on the new pumps?
What is the definitive reason that they do sump?
