On one of the M8 Facebook pages, there is a guy that said that his 19 FLHTK sumped after 1400 miles. Last week when I read that, his bike was still at the dealer being sorted out.
So we don't know if this is actually the issue and a "new" member of the forum elects this to be his first post.
Yup, join date is senior to yours plus he has 6 threads started for an answer where you have 4. You have a few more responses to threads, does that make you feel superior in some way?
Eccool simply posted some information that he had come across to the board for a possible discussion as well as a heads up. Is it true sumping on a 2019? Who knows. I for one have been following the 2019's closely to see if the oil pump cover & o-ring are the fix as I would like to get an M8 but no way am I taking the chance until I see if this issue is corrected. I can see people having this issue down the road 3,4,5 years or so on 2017, 2018 & possibly 2019 bikes as they may not get the chance to put a lot of miles on their rides yearly due to work, family etc. Will be interesting to see how Harley Davidson handles that. My guess is they won't or they will try and come up with any reason not to address it on older bikes. I'm sure you will see that as strictly a "business decision". I don't.
Keep in mind, the purpose of these forums is to share information. Many times they get out of control but there still needs to be an avenue to get information otherwise we will just have to believe the "never heard of it" answer from any given dealer. There are haters, corporate cheerleaders, trolls, newbies that believe everything dealers tells them, crusty old ****** who believe very little until something is proven to them etc. I'm sure we will all be watching to see what the 2019's are like. I hope the problem is corrected but I'm skeptical. It will be interesting.

This is awesome, the post went from a bike sumping to how long you've been here and how many posts you have....lol!
Trust me, I'm all about hearing if the 2019's are sumping or not (I hope not). My response was addressed to post #2. Now, back to the original post of the possible 2019 continued issue.
