I am thinking of painting my vivid black 17 limited low. I have not gone to a shop yet to get a quote as I am curious and what others have paid or know what it roughly costs. Am I looking at $3K, $5K, ? And looking for a recommendation on a quality custom paint shop in Central Texas. Thanks.
Custom paint cost can be anywhere from 500 to the sky’s the limit. There are a lot of factors that determine cost. Any damage that needs to be repaired, the design, number of colors, any graphics or air brushing, what type of paint (candy for instance). The custom paint will not add value when you sell or trade, it will most likely take away value. But if you’re going to keep the scoot for a long time then it’s more worth it. At the end of the day, enjoy no matter what you choose. Best thing is to go to some different shops, look at their current and past work. Find someone you’re comfortable with and go from there. Do not go with the cheapest as you will get what you pay for
Thanks for the feedback. I am looking to paint it a solid flat grey, similar to the Ford F150 Lead Foot grey. I think Harley had a CVO with a similar color.

For a solid color, no graphics Id say 2-3000. Tank, fenders, side covers, fairing, side covers, bags, tour pack. If you can remove all parts yourself you may save a few bucks in labor
if i where anyone i would check out cpvehicles.com it would be worth shipping or the drive. they do a ton of parts for harley and have done a number of bikes for me. they can work with any budget, can do anything you can imagine. Cindy and her team will do you right not a question. i just posted my new paint job by them
