Just curious on what the very first mod you add/do to a new bike? I have a new one coming and will go led tail lights, exhaust (slip ons), shocks and then the canvas is wide open.
I'm 6'-9", so make me fit in comfort is always priority before I go on any rides......so, bars, seat, and foot control mods. Stock bikes are unsafe for me as the bars will hit my knees in a corner. No joke!
The first mod on my Streetglide was for airflow. On my test ride I hated the stock windshield.
I added a Klock Werx 6.5" windshield, adjustable fairing deflectors, fork deflectors and the Kuryakyn Lower Triple Tree deflector. Huge difference.
reflectors off , SE pipes, tuner, cam, breather, bars, and seat, those are the first things, did more but that would have been good for me, every bike gets that treatment at the very least.

I first thing I'd do if I had to do it over again would be to remove the engine breather out of the intake.
If you are considering large purchases on Harley items I would buy from Surdyke Harley and get items discounted. All you need is a catalog to get your part numbers and use them on Surdyke's website.
