I am on the hunt for exhaust. Today at the dealer, they told me by far the best exhaust is RC on the M8? Anyone running RC exhaust?
kind of funny, did they elaborate on what their definition of "best" means? maybe they just had too much inventory! ..just messin' with you as RC has a good following, just that statement of theirs gave me a chuckle, not only is it the best, it's "by far" the best! there are sooo many great exhaust systems and looks and sound are subjective

Yea, I know. I have been looking/reading and it looks like Cobra Neighbor Haters, Magnaflow, and Street Cannons are favorites. Just looking for the deeper harley sound as best as you can get on an M8. As someone said on another thread, it sounds like a sewing machine now!!
really like the sound of my buddy's V&H 4 " Monster Rounds, don't believe they are straight thru core, and have the plug in there so back pressure and low end torque doesn't suffer either..lower deeper, not trashy, crackly, tinny, whatever..just sounds right..for being an M8 and all
I ran their slip-ons for 5000 miles. They have a nice deep sound, a little louder and deeper than Street Cannons, not too loud on a long trip, just pleasing and relaxing tone. They, imo, look great compared to the Street Cannons, but looks and sound are subjective. That said, I went back to the Street Cannons and gained seat of the pants torque that I could feel below 2500 rpm. Above that, the power feels the same between the two.

Are the Street Cannons a significant (relative of course) upgrade from stock? Dealer is saying it isn't much more in sound/torque.
Here is what I've ran on the M8:
Street Cannons
RCX 4.5
Rush Big Louie
S+S MK45
Tab with zombie baffle
Magnaflow Hitman
And on a 2019 cvo 117m8
Magnaflow Knockouts
The RCX rate 2nd or 3rd out of my list but that is to my ears of course. Magnaflow for the win by a country mile for me, deepest and best tone I have personally heard, but again, this is to my liking. A couple of good things about RC is lifetime warranty and the large selection of tips.
seems weird we just don't hear about these here...pretty high up on my list of next replacements if it comes to that..great proven products with a long history obviously..I prefer the Slash..somebody try them!
