I have read through a bunch of this info on the M8 forum as well as the twin cam. When I built the twin cam 110CI, I studied dyno tuners for a long time. All the parts and pieces are from Hillside and I knew it would be broken in on the dyno. Scott recommended Ed at Dyno difference and I think he did a good job. My problem with going back there is his setup. The Dyno is in a trailer that is inside the building. It was not easy to get my Dyna on the wheel because of the steep angle of the ramps, not to mention the (about to fall off) 2x6 boards that you have to balance on while trying to climb up the ramp without spinning the tire.
I just was not impresses with the facility. This Leads me to my next question.
I have changed the exhaust dramatically from when the Dyna was tuned and would like to retune it. I also would like the 114 M8 in my Road King Special tuned when I finish the cam install. I am in East Texas, so I have to travel no mater what. I am looking at this fellow crazy4link at Round Rock Harley and he seems to know what he is doing. I also hear that Jud Cowley is moving to a new facility that will be close to me and will open soon . I know Steve at GMR is also available but he seems a little to arrogant to me. I just want a guy that is a little more laid back
What are your thoughts on these guys?
I found this comment to be funny "I know Steve at GMR is also available but he seems a little to arrogant to me", coming from a guy whose forum name is in all caps bold letters.
No harm intended just thought the possible irony was funny.

LOL, I have never paid any attention to the name. I don't know why I did that back then. Maybe I thought I would remember it better. Who knows? but I get what you are saying, all I meant by that was he spends a lot of time on the various forms bragging, while most of the other guys that are his caliber, just turn out the work. That being said, I know he is good at what he does!
By the way, Thanks for your service sir!

IDK crazy4link, and I don't remember his actual name, but if you're referring to Central TX Harley in Round Rock, they built my 122 kit for me and dyno tuned the bike about 2 years ago... very happy, haven't had any issues since. My 122 mechanic was the tuner, good guy. We sat around for 20-30 minutes after talking bikes and what else he's seen that I might do to squeeze a bit more out of it. Wish I could remember his name because I do know the dealership ownership changed hands and they have had some turnover since... but last I stopped by Rolo was still there, service advisor, and he knows his stuff.

I have not figured out his name either. That is what he goes by as a screen name. Thanks for the info. As soon as I can get the Road King back together, I will make a phone call down there and see if I can find out.
That is PERFECT!👍👍👍👍
Do you have a list of your build on this thread?
It's a pretty basic 128" setup with stock heads, 55mm ported S&S manifold, stock 55mm TB, 6.3 injectors, SE Extreme Air cleaner, Max-Cell 821E Cam, Khrome Werks stepped header and 4.5 mufflers with the HP baffle. I also went with a Rekluse Torq drive clutch setup.
Heres my before and after Dyno runs on the tune I posted a page or so back. The baseline on the sheet was tuned by a very well known and respected tuner. He tuned it using SAE and numbers were 155tq and 140hp. The shop that tuned it recently used STD and you can see the baseline numbers were lower than the original tune. The final tune showed nice gains of almost +10 everywhere.

Very f*n nice! I could be wrong, but the tune is the tune, the technician can choose to display the results in STD or SAE, I think.
