I've got an S&S 124" kit in a box in my garage that I'm looking to put on soon. I currently have a Thundermax Auto Tune on my 107 M8 with an S&S 475 cam and it runs good even though there was no exact base map, but enough that were close. Unfortunately there are no 124 maps yet (there is a 117). Has anyone run into this yet and what did you do? I know it's an autotune but it needs to be close. What can I do to get it close? Or just wait for an updated map listing? I'm not looking to do a dyno, as I don't know anyone local who tunes the Thundermax.
The biggest thing with a Tmax is getting a tune with similar cam & compression, If the 117 is running the same came cam & close on CR you should be fine with that mapping for a base, the Tmax will make up for the fueling difference. I'm in a similar situation as you, only the opposite as I ran the 475 in my 107 & now I'm going to a 114, but will be running about the same CR at 11.1. Post up how you come out or let me know what you find for a map.
Zipper's has a 124" Muscle kit with their 552 cam on their website advertised with a 10.9:1 CR and 150 ft-lbs torque. I am sure that they have a TMax map for that combo. I sent in a map request for a 124" and the RS 468 that's already in my bike. They told me that they had not made any maps for that combo yet, but they plan to this spring.

I will be replacing the 475 with the 550 that comes in the kit. I've thought about using that 117 map, but I would think I'd need to add fuel at the very least for break in/starting it for the first time. Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

I did see that, but I'm sure they won't just email me their tune without buying their parts. At least not without some sort of charge.

The attached pdf is for a map request for the ThunderMax. After you've filled it in, you then email to Zipper's product support.

Really wanting to run the 475 with that compression in a 128" or maybe even stock cylinders at just 120". That cam will still rock the 114. Zippers 468 in my 114 is bad *** but I would love to have a tad more top end. Wouldn't want to loose the bad *** lope of the 468 though.

That's weird because they have posted dyno numbers with that set up on HTT forum if I'm not mistaken. Maybe they tuned it with a different unit.
We're hoping in the not too distant future to develop some T-max base maps for 124" combinations, I expect we'll have have some maps ready in April, however with the building move in the next several weeks that may affect the timeframe. We do have Power Visions base maps available for a wide assortment of big bore applications.
